Kinmon Gakuen Board Chair Shinichi Seino Selected for the 2026 Foreign Minister’s Commendation

Kinmon Gakuen is proud to share that Shinichi Seino, Chair of the Board of Kinmon Gakuen, has been selected as a recipient of the 2026 Foreign Minister’s Commendation.

The commendation recognizes individuals and organizations that have made significant contributions to strengthening friendship and mutual understanding between Japan and other countries.

For many years, Chair Seino has supported the growth and development of Kinmon Gakuen and has worked to preserve and promote Japanese language, culture, and community in San Francisco. He has also contributed to the broader Japanese American community through leadership roles including President of the Japantown Merchants Association and Co-Chair of the Northern California Cherry Blossom Festival.

This recognition reflects the long-standing commitment of Kinmon Gakuen to Japanese language education, cultural preservation, and service to the San Francisco Japanese American community.

As Kinmon Gakuen looks toward its next chapter, we remain committed to preserving this historic institution and ensuring that future generations can continue to learn, gather, and connect here.
